Main Job Responsibilities
  • Bullet PointPreventative Maintenance: Perform comprehensive Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and DOT inspections. Check tire tread, adjust pressure, and grease.
  • Bullet PointBrake & Pneumatic Systems: Diagnose and repair air brake systems, ABS modules, brake drums, shoes, and chambers.
  • Bullet PointElectrical Troubleshooting: Trace, patch, and replace lighting systems, 7-way electrical receptacles, and complex wiring harnesses.
  • Bullet PointStructural Bodywork: Repair exterior aluminum panels, metal roofs, nose sections, and top/bottom rails.
  • Bullet PointWelding & Fabrication: Use steel and aluminum welding equipment, torches, and grinders to fix cracks or rebuild damaged frame assemblies.
  • Bullet PointDocumentation: Log all labor hours and parts using digital fleet maintenance software.

Education and Experience
  • Bullet PointHigh school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Bullet PointA valid driver's license is required; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required.
  • Bullet Point1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trailer repair, heavy truck maintenance, or welding/fabrication preferred.
  • Bullet PointProficiency in using diagnostic software, pneumatic hand tools, torches, and welding equipment.
  • Bullet PointNo experience necessary for entry-level position.
